The Spotlight Conference 2025 was the first of its kind, bringing together performers, agents and casting professionals to discuss the state of the performing arts industry.
It was an opportunity for our community to come together for an open and honest discussion. We covered the challenges and opportunities presented by new technologies and cultural shifts, addressing these urgent issues by sharing our unique perspectives.
Event Information
At the Spotlight Conference 2025 we tackled the future of talent discovery, honoured industry legends Debbie McWilliams (James Bond), Shaheen Baig (Adolescence) and Ben Frow (Paramount). Our programme included sessions on balancing AI with the human element in casting, protecting DEI progress, and managing artists’ digital footprints.
Sessions offered insights on commercial/theatre casting, financial sustainability for performers, and navigating government policy to foster a resilient, equitable industry.
